Christmas in June Collections

For the first time, Toys Toiletries & Toques on Facebook and @tttcowichanhelp on Instagram are collecting NEW donations strictly for the month of June - from June 3rd to June 30th.

We have become aware of a real requirement for Baby Essentials, Toilet Paper and Sanitary Products and that's all that we are hoping to collect for this one month.

Our usual New, Non-food collection from October 15th to November 29th will certainly go ahead for our 13th year, but we were asked to help and the Elves thought we should.

Here are the Drop Off Centres so far – a few more are coming before we launch on June 1.

2022 Was Our Best Year Ever!!

What the heck makes it a 'best ever year? Well, it isn't the actual number of donations, but that is important as it allows us to help more families and individuals who need a boost to enjoy a better Christmas/Holiday season.

All the care and thought went into the donations so the Food Banks would receive what their customers need during this season.

It was the number of families with young children who came in with the children to donate, and it was the companies and organizations who weren't official Drop Off Centres who quietly collected donations from their customers and staff and brought them in without fanfare.

It was the various companies we bought tickets from for 'experiences' this year. Many donated more and reduced the price of the tickets so more could be purchased.

We have had some steady success over the 12 years, but this was special.

We will more officially thank the various people involved but we really wanted to thank everyone involved for our 'best year ever.

Sincerely, The Elves

2023 Black Tie Awards

The Toys Toiletries & Toques Elves are honoured to have been nominated in the Volunteer of the Year award category in the Black Tie Awards. We have been strictly a volunteer organization since Day 1 just over 12 years ago, and we believe it is in part the efforts of the volunteer Elves that have allowed us to grow through the years.

To be nominated is a great honour. We thank the Duncan Cowichan Chamber of Commerce for holding these wonderful business awards, Island Savings for sponsoring the Awards and Peninsula Co-op for sponsoring this category.

Our congratulations to the other nominees in all the categories as well. Do you have someone or a business, or an organization to nominate? The Cowichan Valley is FULL of individuals, businesses, and organizations worthy of this type of recognition. All details and how to nominate are at www.blacktieawards.com
